“Art! Reading and Math are a close second, but the freedom and beauty that you find in art lets your heart soar! Understanding art allows you to enjoy and appreciate all things no matter how simple and mundane. That’s why I love teaching Kindergarten. I’m surrounded by little free-spirited artists! Watch us soar!”
Why I became a teacher:
“I wanted to be an astronaut. Until I realized spinning didn’t feel that great and all the extra math was starting to make my head spin! However it was my math tutor who inspired me. My ‘Aha’ moment came when solving an ‘impossible’ simple equation. Thank you Mrs. Gell! I was so excited, I could do it. I felt like I had reached the stars! I knew then what was important, finding that success-- I wanted to share it.”
Why I like teaching at St. John:
“Teaching here is like being part of a great big family. Teaching can be challenging at times, but the support, love and spirit of the community and staff here is abundant. We all want to be the best and want the best for our children.”
