St. John School students participate in a number of CYO sponsored sports. The Catholic Youth Organization is a proven program that, through the vehicle of sports, aids youth to become better Catholics and Christians and to collaborate with other athletes throughout the Archdiocese. CYO collaborates with other programs including Athletes for a Better World to provide the best opportunities for all involved...

CYO is heavily dependent on parent volunteers. Nearly all St. John teams are coached by St. John parents. Coaching a CYO sport is a wonderful opportunity for parents to become involved in their student's school experience.

"Any family who enjoys sports would want to take a look at St. John. There is a strong sports program here K-8. In basketball alone, we average 20 to 25 teams per year ... CYO emphasizes that winning isn't everything and the value of playing fair."

It is the policy of St. John Athletics to give every child an opportunity to participate in any sport. If athletics fees pose a problem to any family, scholarships are available by contacting the Athletics President prior to the registration deadline.

Family Rate
Help support the athletics program and save on registration fees. The annual fee is good for every child in the family, for every sport during the school year. Payment must accompany registration. The deadline is October 1.

 To volunteer as a coach, assistant, or team parent, please call* the following coordinator.  Please note: Coaches must be in compliance with the Archdiocese Policy on Volunteers (background check and up-to-date Safe Environment training on file in the Parish office).
