The St. John School Annual Fund is part of a comprehensive development program that includes fundraising, public relations, alumni relations and more.
The Annual Fund is divided into two areas: parent contributions and alumni and friends contributions. More than $160,000 is generated for the school operating budget through this effort.
Parent Contributions
Each March at registration, parish families are given the opportunity to participate in the Fair Share Tuition Program. Families prayerfully discern the amount their family can afford for tuition the following year. Families are encouraged to strive for the Neighborhood Catholic School Average Tuition. Any amount they pledge above the Neighborhood Average is considered a donation to the School Annual Fund. This is the only time we ask parents to donate to the Annual Fund.
Alumni and Friend Contributions
Annually, alumni, parishioners, and friends of St. John donate thousands of dollars via the parish "Blue Envelopes," the annual fund mailing, matching gifts from employers, and unsolicited gifts and memorials.
Matching Gifts
Annually, more than $30,000 is donated to the school via corporate matching gifts. Many local companies will match dollar for dollar any donation made to a school. Companies who support St. John School via matching dollars include:

There are many additional local companies who have matching gift programs. Each company has its own set of guidelines. Please consult your employee benefits representative to see if your company will match your gift. Matching gift forms should be turned in with the donation to the school office. Pledges are not matched by most companies; please turn in the matching gift form after your pledge obligation has been met.

United Way
Annaully, we receive nearly $6,000 in United Way funds due to families choosing to direct their United Way donations to St. John School. Again consult your employee benefits representative for more information. Many companies will also match your United Way donation dollar for dollar thereby doubling your contribution to St. John School.
