Key Vocabulary
- mortal sin: A mortal sin is a serious sin that separates us from God's grace. To be forgiven of a mortal sin, we must confess the sin in the sacrament of Reconciliation.
- venial sin: A venial sin weakens a person's love for others and can lead to mortal sin.
- conscience: Our conscience helps us to know what is good. God speaks to our conscience to help us avoid sin.
