CULTURAL FAIR: Cultural Fair is February 8. Display boards are top priority. Remember that AN ADULT must proofread all written materials for your board lest you have red marks all over your display. Be creative. Think of how you can represent your research using maps, pictures, objects, etc. You also might make a model, diorama, etc. Have fun with it!

LANGUAGE ARTS:  Today we had a diagramming relay to review the Adverb Phrases Worksheet diagrams.

RELIGION:  Today we read and discussed an article by Father James Martin, SJ about Jesus' sense of humor. I hope you found it as interesting and thought-provoking as I did. Please remember to complete your butterflies for Father Crispin. His sister, Imelda, passed away this weekend. Keep him and his little nieces and nephews in your thoughts and prayers.

SOCIAL STUDIES:  Today we attempted to complete an interactive lesson allowing your own voice on the topic of Civil Rights. Unfortunately, that lesson took an unexpected turn. It is my sincere hope that we will be able to engage in fun, active activities. No homework. CULTURAL FAIR IS ONE WEEK AWAY!

LANGUAGE ARTS: Today you all worked collaboratively to diagram adverb phrases. I was very impressed with the level of discourse and critical thinking I witnessed. We will continue with that this week. We will also be finishing your business letters to "Big Chocolate". 
LATIN/GREEK: No Vocab due to Homecoming.

RELIGION: In celebration of Vocations and Catholic Schools Week, we had the opportunity to hear Father Narciso from our sister parish in Peru. What a wonderful opportunity for y'all to have a cultural experience and to see how your fundraising efforts here at school affect others a world away.
