Grades (3-5) taught by Mrs. Becky Kelly.

Students in grades three, four and five have music classes twice weekly with an emphasis on singing, music reading, music appreciation and music performance. The students will be encouraged to share their love for God through music.

Elements Of Music

The students will understand, apply and analyze elements of music while creating, performing and responding to music.

We will cover Beat, Rhythm, Pitch, Melody, Harmony, Texture, Timbre/Tone Color, Form, Expression, Dynamics, Style, Tempo and Phrasing.

Skills/Techniques

The students will analyze, understand, and apply skills and techniques while creating, performing and responding.

Students will understand and apply musical experiences from diverse genres, artists, cultures and/or times.

Performance Process

• The students will rehearse, adjust and refine music through evaluation, reflection and problem solving.
• The students will select artistic resources, materials, and/or repertoire to create, perform, and present.
